Cenotaph Parade

Community Calendar

Associations wishing to take part in the Cenotaph Parade should have received ticket application forms at the end of June. These forms must be completed and returned to Pall Mall with a large stamped addressed envelope for the return of the tickets. New associations wishing to take part in the Parade should write to The National Events Co-ordinator on their official headed note paper stating who they are and how many wish to take part. Individuals wishing to take part should apply to their Ex-Service/Civilian Association or their Legion branch, not directly to Pall Mall as in previous years. However, if an individual’s Association is not represented at the Parade, the person should then apply to The National Events Co-ordinator at Pall Mall. If an individual requires a carer for the day, a separate ticket must be applied for. This is limited to one carer per person, and it is requested that if the individual will parade in the Ex-Service column their carer should, if possible, also be ex-Service. If this is impossible, permission for the carer to march in the column should be obtained from the National Events Co-ordinator. If an individual is unsure if their Association takes part in the Parade, a list of participants can be obtained from Pall Mall. Please note the closing date for applications is 30 September, and tickets (with accompanying parade instructions) will not be distributed until after this date. The actual March Past at the Cenotaph is approximately 1.5 miles and participants should be prepared to be either on parade, marching or waiting to march for around 3.5 hours from start to finish.
