spitfire Posted March 11, 2017 Report Share Still have one of the builder helmets in my shed,before that only cliff men had helmets [ assorted climber types ] The white ones with the visor were a big improvement being much more comfortable but we found the visor not so good as dust would swirl up under it in any wind. Old coastie Posted March 11, 2017 Report Share Now, a S.O.F like me can remember the "Lightweight" miners helmets used in the early days of the training centre at Brixham. I have found out since they were of shredded compressed paper and woodpulp like this Link to comment
